Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
By following an interdisciplinary approach, our research group aims to uncover the computational principles that enable natural and machine intelligence. We are convinced that this goal is best achieved in an environment in which a diversity of backgrounds and experiences come together in a respectful, curious and stimulating manner. Our lab should be a place in which science and truth always rule over hierarchy, a place which stimulates creativity, productivity, honesty, and well-being for everyone involved.
We recognize that discrimination can be based on a broad range of factors: race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, and many more. We are committed to actively work against such biases to make our lab, and science at large, a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive space. This involves all aspects of lab-life, including day-to-day lab practices, recruitment, training, and development opportunities. Discrimination and racism have no place in science and in our group.
Feel free to contact individual lab members to learn more about our group and how it operates.
